Start, extend, and stop temporary access
Our internal UltraNow access tool now has a dashboard that makes the active session and its controls visible to the person using it.
Make the access window visible
We have added a dashboard to the internal access tool behind UltraNow. Employees can inspect their session, extend access when they need more time, and stop it when they are finished. The interface makes temporary access something the user can actively manage.
The underlying experiment uses an activation timestamp and delegated Workspace administration to assign or remove an AI Ultra license. The dashboard adds a visible control surface around that process instead of asking people to infer their access state from a successful sign-in.
An explicit end is part of the interaction
A useful temporary session needs more than a start action. The user needs to know whether access is active, how much time remains, and what an extension will do. Stopping early should be a normal action when the work is complete.
The Worker exposes status and session controls to support those interactions. The assignment process still depends on the administrative integration that applies the license change, so the application’s session window and the provider’s state must be considered together.
Learn from the internal workflow
This remains an internal tool. It gives us a way to test the interaction before designing broader organization administration: how people request access, when they extend it, and how clearly the end of a session is communicated.
A timer is also distinct from a vendor’s billing rules. The experiment controls the intended access window; any financial effect depends on the license agreement and how the provider bills assignment and removal.
