UltraNow.
Give access a beginning and an end.
What if access followed the work?
People may need a licensed tool for a task without needing it assigned indefinitely. UltraNow treats access as a session: someone is approved, a window opens, and that window closes.
A product from OVRLab for teams using Google Workspace identity and supported Google licenses.
From approval to session
Administrators use Workspace groups to decide who can start a session and set its duration limits. Approved users sign in with their work account and activate access when they need it.
A visible countdown makes the window explicit. Administrators can end a session early, and usage records support team-level review. Underlying Google licenses remain billed through the customer’s provider subscription; session length is not a promise of hourly Google billing.
Design considerations
Permission versus availability
Being approved to use a tool and having it available right now are separate states. A session makes that distinction visible to the person doing the work.
Clear endings
A time limit needs an understandable end state. Countdown, expiry, and administrator controls all have to communicate the same access window.
Operational visibility
Session records help teams understand when access was used. Decisions about capacity and cost still depend on the terms of the underlying license.
